Hey there! So things have been a little hectic in my world for the last few months! As you may be aware my brother, Rick, passed away last week. He has been sick with Pancreatic cancer since being diagnosed in late March. It was too quick and things have been chaotic. We are home now and learning to live our new normal.
So here we are! What is new around here? Well the vlogs that I had planned for this month have been altered a bit! We will have some travel vlogs on the YouTube channel started up here again soon. We will be going to New Orleans this coming week for a day or two. Of course I will get some vlogs for you!
Also, I am working hard to get a few group cruises put together for next year. If you have any suggestions on that subject please comment below! I hope to have at least 2 group cruises set for 2020!
I have started a mailing list for a newsletter. I would love it if you would sign up for it. I promise not to send you too many! I will keep them pretty short, just some ship/cruising fun and interesting info and current specials! Hope you subscribe by using the link above or this one right here!!
That is all! I hope you have a great day!
Sunrise on the ocean!
And that is a good thing! My days always seem to run into each other! Things like time and schedules seem to disappear into a vast black hole- along with any problems, or annoyances, that my “regular” life may hold! Ya know, back there on land..….
Let me count the reasons I love cruising!
- Rolling waves under my feet
- Lounge chairs and books
- Private balconies
- Daily make up and turn down service
- Those cute towel animals
- Particular ice cream bars if on a particular cruise line
- Particular cake if on another
- Speaking of..food one of our favorite dishes! French Onion Soup
- Big screen movies under the stars….
12. Serenity (or any adult area)
I could go on and on…..these are just 12 of the reasons I love cruising!
Doug loves cruising for-
Guys Burgers and Quatro Formaggi
And free soda on Disney cruise lines! As well as the soft serve ice cream on all cruise ships! And of course he loves those Mickey bars, especially when we order them as room service and they arrive in their fancy silver dome covered dish!
So now that you know just a few of the reasons I love to cruise, what are some of your reasons?
Hope you leave me a comment below and share with me! Also, consider subscribing to my YouTube channel. The link is to the right…..over there…. yeah, click that! Talk soon and happy sailing!
Hey all! So we are 20 days away from our epic return to Disney Cruise Line! Woohoo! Doug and I are super excited!! The last time we sailed on Disney was in 2013 on the Fantasy, we loved it, but one day while standing on deck 11 near the food court, I had the misguided thought that I needed a break from Disney cruising! So that was our last Disney cruise….until Feb 25, 2019! When we return to the Disney Dream.
Oh and that break I needed? Yeah well we cruised on Carnival next and there was no relief from the crowds of kids/families; as a matter of fact there was less space dedicated to hiding from it all! We did find relief once we sailed on Celebrity. But what we realized after sailing 4 other cruise lines is that we love Disney and there is no substitute for the level of service/hospitality that we get on a Disney cruise! And the Disney ships are gorgeous beyond compare….I think only Cunard is going to come close;although Celebrity has a beautiful ship. We have not sailed Cunard yet, and we won’t for another 2 or 3 years, so maybe I will see if I can do a ship inspection soon! I will let you know my thoughts.
Anyway, now we are back at Disney and we are excited. You may be surprised to know that Doug’s level of excitement rivals mine! lol
So here is a short vlog we made discussing the next 20 days! If you enjoy the vlog or don’t want to miss any vlogs coming up- please subscribe! And like! And thank you!
So lately there has been some controversy brewing in the YouTube/Cruise Vlog community! This has caused me to want to address what should happen when you book a cruise with a travel agent….and what you should expect from your travel professional! And, what you should never do when booking a cruise with a travel agent;especially one you have never met in person.
So in this video below I refer to a controversy. I never say what it is and I realize when I watched it over that this can be very frustrating! To not really know what I am talking about. So I will briefly tell you that the controversy had to do with a very popular cruise vlogging family on YouTube. This family, or the matriarch of the family, is being accused of taking deposits for group cruises and not booking the cruise. I do not have anything to do with them and I do not know what is factual; I am aware of the accusations and the fact that, to date, the person accused has not addressed the accusations.
Because of this controversy I decided to address booking policy as it relates to taking deposits. I also took the time to explain who I am and what my experience is. At the time that I made this video my Facebook page had a different name. It is now Cruising with Christine and you can find a link at the bottom of this page!
At long last, through technical difficulties and new editor learning curve- I have finally finished day 5! Wonder how long day 6 will take? In the meantime we will be spending 4 days at WDW next week! Primarily we will be there to get footage of the parks and look at some new venues! One thing we will be visiting is Planet Hollywood Observatory! It looks cool and I am excited to see it! Hope you will be back to see my next videos.
If you want to make sure to not miss a video, please subscribe to my channel! And as always- if you need assistance in booking a cruise or Disney vacation, do not hesitate to give e a holler!! I would love to help! Remember-14 cruises with my next 3 booked!
I have cruised on NCL, Disney, Royal, Celebrity, and Carnival!
